The category of the text, the language combination and the specialist knowledge requirements of the translator are all taken into account.|
The translator first reads through the entire document to get a clear idea of content and style of the source text. If the text contains specific vocabulary, technical terms or is of a very technical nature, some research may need to be done. Translation memory software can be used. You as a client can assist in the process by providing company specific vocabulary or existing material in the target language to keep all your translations as consistent as possible.
Once a first draft is finished, the translator will work through the source text and target text checking for content, style, fluency, format and uniformity.
Finally the completed translation will be proofread and returned to the project manager.
